Code, Land Use § 17–302","heading":"","body":"(a) The park police:\n(1) possess all the powers and authority vested by existing law in the Montgomery County and Prince George’s County police;\n(2) are responsible to and under the supervision of the Commission; and\n(3) shall exercise supervisory jurisdiction over the park system.\n(b) The park police shall:\n(1) prevent crime;\n(2) apprehend criminals;\n(3) enforce the criminal and motor vehicle laws of the State;\n(4) enforce park regulations; and\n(5) perform other related duties that the Commission imposes.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=17-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"706927750b85111d0471a96f3e8a213e0973ff057cba3a9fe154e1dc1ac9db10","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-17-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-17-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
