Code, Land Use § 26–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Fund” means:\n(1) in Montgomery County, the Montgomery County Historic Preservation Grant Fund; and\n(2) in Prince George’s County, the Prince George’s County Historic Property Grant Fund.\n(c) (1) “Historic property” means a district, site, building, structure, or object significant in the history, upland or underwater archaeology, architecture, engineering, or culture of the State.\n(2) “Historic property” includes remains related to a district, site, building, structure, or object described in paragraph (1) of this subsection.\n(d) “Preservation” means the identification, evaluation, recordation, documentation, acquisition, protection, management, rehabilitation, restoration, stabilization, maintenance, or reconstruction of a historic property.\n(e) “Program” means:\n(1) in Montgomery County, the Montgomery County Historic Preservation Grant Program; and\n(2) in Prince George’s County, the Prince George’s County Historic Property Grant Program.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=26-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"edeb502e0574d59e5d7f1255f89e6a126661e22e42602064b40c335adbdb1ea8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-25-807","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-26-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
