Code, Land Use § 4–212","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this section, “agritourism” means an activity conducted on a farm that is offered to a member of the general public or to invited guests for the purpose of education, recreation, or active involvement in the farm operation.\n(2) “Agritourism” includes:\n(i) farm tours;\n(ii) hayrides;\n(iii) corn mazes;\n(iv) seasonal petting farms;\n(v) farm museums;\n(vi) guest farms;\n(vii) pumpkin patches;\n(viii) “pick your own” or “cut your own” produce;\n(ix) camping;\n(x) incidental outdoor stays;\n(xi) classes related to agricultural products or skills; and\n(xii) picnic and party facilities offered in conjunction with any agritourism activity.\n(b) A local jurisdiction may adopt the definition of “agritourism” as defined in this section by local ordinance, resolution, law, or rule.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=4-212","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"254a58eb82de37d226c58a6e83ef03991cf2ecd7555f844acfc16cb421291d5f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-4-211","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-4-213"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
