Code, Local Government § 1–1409","heading":"","body":"(a) An authority shall:\n(1) adopt a code of ethics for the authority’s directors, officers, and\nemployees;\n(2) establish policies and procedures requiring:\n(i) the disclosure of relationships that may create a conflict of\ninterest; and\n(ii) any member of the board with a direct or indirect interest\nin a matter before the authority to disclose the member’s interest to the board before\nthe board takes any action on the matter; and\n(3) comply with the Open Meetings Act.\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle or the ordinance\nestablishing an authority, the procedures of the incorporating local government\ncontrol any matter relating to the internal administration of an authority.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=1-1409","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"80b6968bdbe10b7508d49b450b09179db8aac83a40bfe517e4cd9ef74022bde2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-1408","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-1410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
