Code, Local Government § 1–1425","heading":"","body":"(a) An authority may:\n(1) impose rates, rents, fees, and charges related to a project and for\nthe services related to a project; and\n(2) contract with any person or governmental entity to exercise its\nauthority under this section.\n(b) The rates, rents, fees, and charges established by an authority under\nthis section shall be imposed and adjusted so that the aggregate amount of the rates,\nrents, fees, and charges from the project, when added to other available money, is\nsufficient to:\n(1) pay for the expenses of the project;\n(2) pay the principal of and the interest on the bonds that the\nauthority issued for the project as they become due and payable; and\n(3) create and maintain reserves required or provided for in a trust\nagreement.\n(c) The rates, rents, fees, and charges established by an authority under\nthis section are not subject to supervision or regulation by any unit of the State.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=1-1425","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"97924eecd8b36cba0a6be71eb305c5a296afdc697f909493e31478eb25b189af","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-1424","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-1426"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
