Code, Local Government § 1–804","heading":"","body":"(a) After consultation with the Department of Budget and Management, the\nSecretary of Planning shall adopt regulations that require a county or municipality\nto submit information, as required in this section, on federal aid, including grants,\ninstructional contracts, loans, research contracts, and other assistance.\n(b) (1) Every 6 months, a county or municipality shall submit a\nsummary notice to the Department of Planning if, during the 6–month period that\nthe notice covers, the county or municipality received an award of federal aid in the\nform of an instructional contract, an instructional grant, a research contract, or a\nresearch grant.\n(2) The summary notice shall state the amount of the award.\n(c) (1) This subsection does not apply to an instructional contract, an\ninstructional grant, a research contract, or a research grant.\n(2) Within 30 days after a county or municipality receives an award\nof federal aid, the county or municipality shall submit to the Department of Planning\na summary notice that states:\n(i) the amount of the award; and\n(ii) if the award is conditioned on matching funds:\n1. the amount of those funds;\n2. the source of those funds; and\n3. the period for which those funds are required.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=1-804","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"7f317c34ecea1dacdd789a1612f413929bc9e53ef85f3131bbe4a0a71f162d7d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-803","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-1-901"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
