Code, Local Government § 10–323","heading":"","body":"(a) A county may enact local laws providing for the development and\nadministration of a recreational program including:\n(1) the construction, equipment, and use of parks, community\ncenters, and recreational buildings and facilities;\n(2) the acquisition of sites for parks, community centers, and\nrecreational buildings and facilities;\n(3) financial support for artistic, musical, and cultural public and\nprivate nonprofit organizations and activities; and\n(4) the furnishing of recreational and other municipal services in\nconnection with parks, community centers, and recreational buildings and facilities.\n(b) A county may exercise the authority granted under Title 1, Subtitle 6 of\nthis article.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=10-323","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"88d27206aa1d7d4e7f80c92951ab729840e3ff71fdb83193354b70fa725e68f8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-10-322","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-10-324"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
