Code, Local Government § 12–207","heading":"","body":"(a) The provisions of §§ 9–105 and 9–106 of this article apply to an act, an\nordinance, or a resolution adopted under this section.\n(b) The County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County may adopt a separate\npension plan or may amend an existing pension plan for:\n(1) the Sheriff;\n(2) deputy sheriffs; or\n(3) correctional officers.\n(c) By resolution, the County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County may:\n(1) adopt the provisions of any pension plan established under\nsubsection (b) of this section; or\n(2) amend the provisions of any existing pension plan.\n(d) The County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County shall provide for the\nfunding required to implement and support any action taken under this section.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=12-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"ec16cbd4f50f88ad1cb622cc0dcef4d72ddc1254164e9c51021a4636a35c3fee","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-206","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
