Code, Local Government § 12–805","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not establish, maintain, or operate a labor camp for groups\nof 25 or more workers outside the limits of any municipality in Dorchester County\nunless the person obtains a permit under subsection (b) of this section.\n(b) (1) The County Council of Dorchester County may issue a permit to\na person as provided in the rules and regulations adopted by the county council.\n(2) After notice to the person who holds a permit and an opportunity\nfor a hearing, the county council may revoke a permit for cause.\n(c) (1) A person who violates this section or a rule or regulation of the\nCounty Council of Dorchester County adopted under this section is subject to a fine\nnot exceeding $500 for each offense.\n(2) A labor camp established, operated, or maintained in violation of\nthis section or a rule or regulation of the county adopted under this section may be\nabated as a nuisance.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=12-805","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"8d133107888cb9157bf27d69f030bf0b5bb494cbfe118c0e0f710636b40bb00c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-804","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-806"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
