Code, Local Government § 12–901","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to all counties except:\n(1) Anne Arundel County;\n(2) Baltimore City;\n(3) Baltimore County;\n(4) Cecil County;\n(5) Howard County;\n(6) Prince George’s County; and\n(7) Queen Anne’s County.\n(b) (1) The provisions of §§ 9–105 and 9–106 of this article apply to an\nact, an ordinance, or a resolution adopted by a commission county under this\nsubsection.\n(2) The governing body of a county may provide, maintain, and\noperate community, social, and recreational services that promote the health and\nwelfare of county residents.\n(c) The County Commissioners of Worcester County may provide, maintain,\nand operate community, social, and recreational services and projects that promote\nthe health, welfare, and economic development of county residents.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=12-901","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"440e8fd0ba92e5d416ab67fb05f1878102bb75ed92ad9472ac5a6ebec293e067","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-806","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-902"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
