Code, Local Government § 12–903","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to all counties, except Baltimore City.\n(b) The governing body of a county may adopt rules and regulations to\nestablish and provide for payment of bounties for the killing of:\n(1) crows;\n(2) foxes;\n(3) hawks;\n(4) minks;\n(5) owls;\n(6) wildcats; and\n(7) other similar destructive and harmful wild animals or birds.\n(c) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, a person\nwho violates a regulation adopted under this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and\non conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $100.\n(2) In Calvert County, a person who violates a regulation adopted\nunder this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not\nexceeding $500.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=12-903","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"41dc279ee39afc53693af803b6eeefb98af4577906381868206e13471f987c9c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-902","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-12-904"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
