Code, Local Government § 13–308","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The governing body of a county shall verify the statements made\nby the applicant in the application for the transient vendor license.\n(2) (i) If the application contains a false statement, the governing\nbody may deny the license.\n(ii) If the license is denied, the governing body shall refund the\nlicense fee, less administrative costs.\n(b) (1) The governing body of a county shall issue a transient vendor\nlicense within 20 days after the application is filed if:\n(i) the governing body approves the application and surety\nbond; and\n(ii) the license fee is paid.\n(2) The license shall:\n(i) be effective for the duration and term applied for in the\napplication not to exceed a period of 1 year; and\n(ii) terminate automatically.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"d91f605d95ff50c27084b899c95da53b204fe6e2c77a6830b0d0a62b9da29a6b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-307","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
