Code, Local Government § 13–310","heading":"","body":"(a) Before conducting business in a county, a transient vendor shall obtain\na transient vendor license required under this part.\n(b) (1) This part does not exempt a transient vendor from obtaining any\nother license or permit from:\n(i) the United States;\n(ii) the State;\n(iii) the county;\n(iv) any municipality in Frederick County; or\n(v) the City of Hagerstown.\n(2) This part does not exempt a transient vendor from liability, tax\nliability, or any other regulations that may be applicable in:\n(i) the United States;\n(ii) the State;\n(iii) the county;\n(iv) any municipality in Frederick County; or\n(v) the City of Hagerstown.\n(c) Unless otherwise allowed by law, a transient vendor may not sell goods\non Sunday.\n(d) A person who engages in business as a transient vendor in violation of\nthis part is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not\nexceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $2,500 or both.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-310","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"170a36da3c378fedc9b25559a4a0e25762526b94eb928b5229f0196500c597a0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-309","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-311"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
