Code, Local Government § 13–603","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to all counties, except Baltimore City.\n(b) (1) Under rules it adopts, the governing body of a county may\nappropriate and use money it considers necessary to support farmers’ cooperative\ndemonstration work in the county, including home demonstration work and boys and\ngirls club work, that is similar to work that the United States Department of\nAgriculture or the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension may conduct.\n(2) The governing body of a county may cooperate with the United\nStates Department of Agriculture and the University of Maryland Cooperative\nExtension to jointly conduct and fund the demonstration work on terms and\nconditions agreed to by the governing body of the county, the Department, and the\nExtension.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-603","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"8fe6bd12af151cf7453f327d1d18f0324b6e35cf724ca180c2972c27e0b00ac0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-602","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
