Code, Local Government § 13–702","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) By resolution, the County Council of Prince George’s County may\ncreate an official advisory committee on natural resources and community\nappearance to guide and accomplish the work of the County Council sitting as district\ncouncil.\n(2) The resolution shall specify the membership, duties, and\nfunctions of the committee.\n(b) (1) It is the intent of the General Assembly that all units of State\ngovernment cooperate with the County Council of Prince George’s County to the\nfullest possible extent to guide the orderly growth of the county through an advisory\ncommittee created under this section.\n(2) At the request of the County Council, an official designated by a\nunit of State government may serve as a member of the advisory committee.\n(c) The duties of the advisory committee may include making technical\nrecommendations for:\n(1) the preservation, exploitation, and site rehabilitation of mineral\ndeposits; and\n(2) the means and methods of encouraging development above\nminimum standards.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-702","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"e925859438e3a112359550252c6c54b695c60b53cff8f60e6e27918f9b0d9dfb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-701","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
