Code, Local Government § 13–703","heading":"","body":"(a) The County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County may:\n(1) adopt an ordinance, a rule, or a regulation for erosion and\nsiltation control requirements to facilitate sedimentation control in the county; and\n(2) provide for the enforcement of any ordinance, rule, or regulation\nadopted under this section.\n(b) (1) A violation of an ordinance, a rule, or a regulation adopted under\nthis section is a misdemeanor.\n(2) The County Commissioners of St. Mary’s County may establish a\ncriminal penalty of a fine, imprisonment, or both for a violation of an ordinance, a\nrule, or a regulation adopted under this section.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-703","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"12e2a748f2b7172f33b365fb97c6705fc1764f6ebcae02d31558d03b48d52925","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-702","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
