Code, Local Government § 13–918","heading":"","body":"(a) The provisions of §§ 9–105 and 9–106 of this article apply to an act, an\nordinance, or a resolution adopted under this section.\n(b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, the County Commissioners of\nWashington County may adopt, by ordinance or resolution, licensing requirements\nfor:\n(1) on–site utility contractors who perform plumbing work while\ninstalling water or sewer service; and\n(2) septic system installers who place a service line between a septic\ntank and a building.\n(c) A license issued under this section does not authorize the licensee to do\nplumbing work within 5 feet from a building being served.\n(d) The County Commissioners of Washington County may set a license fee\nand require an applicant or licensee to provide a performance bond.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=13-918","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"bb50d2338f85cd11764ed38444f24422a8a1e3122377d468d403d64416beb775","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-917","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-13-921"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
