Code, Local Government § 16–105","heading":"","body":"(a) The governing body of each county shall publish annually, in at least\none newspaper of general circulation in the county, a summary statement of the\nexpenses of the county.\n(b) The summary statement shall state that an itemized statement of\ncounty expenses is available for public inspection in the office of the governing body\nof the county during business hours.\n(c) A clerk who fails to perform the requirements of subsection (a) of this\nsection shall forfeit $100.\n(d) If the charter of a charter county or Baltimore City requires the\npublication of financial information in a manner that differs from the requirements\nof this section, the provisions of the charter control.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=16-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"84e6c4d39ca57213b3a29225b11800e7c8659bef70b77ad7a91c9b05182472e5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
