Code, Local Government § 16–107","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “reserve account” means a continuing, nonlapsing\naccount or fund in which money is retained to support appropriations that have\nbecome unfunded.\n(b) By ordinance or local law, after notice and hearing, a county may\nestablish one or more reserve accounts.\n(c) An ordinance or a local law that establishes a reserve account shall\nprovide for:\n(1) requirements for the accumulation of a fixed amount of money, a\npercentage of designated revenues, or both;\n(2) the circumstances under which the account may be used; and\n(3) the use of any earnings on the account.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=16-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"4e8211c285f5c31d7abdda2290641d2d83795fba14f0704169d0484f93cf2d69","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
