Code, Local Government § 16–205","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The annual salary of the County Treasurer of Washington County\nis:\n(i) as set by the County Commissioners of Washington County\nunder Title 28, Subtitle 2 of this article; or\n(ii) any increased compensation authorized by the County\nCommissioners of Washington County.\n(2) The County Treasurer shall determine the annual salaries of the\ndeputy treasurer and employees in the office, subject to:\n(i) the approval of the County Commissioners; and\n(ii) any increased compensation authorized by the County\nCommissioners.\n(b) The County Commissioners of Washington County shall pay the office\nexpenses of the County Treasurer of Washington County.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=16-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"b0be1fa879d4477cf52972565b458be37e67b75fda449fe0193ad7ea00361ca7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
