Code, Local Government § 16–303","heading":"","body":"(a) Each county, municipality, and special taxing district shall maintain the\nuniform system of financial reporting established by the Department of Legislative\nServices.\n(b) If a county, municipality, or special taxing district does not comply with\nsubsection (a) of this section, the Comptroller, after notice from the Executive\nDirector of the Department of Legislative Services of the noncompliance, may order\nthe discontinuance of all money, grants, or State aid that the county, municipality, or\nspecial taxing district is entitled to receive under State law, including money from:\n(1) the income tax;\n(2) the tax on racing;\n(3) the recordation tax;\n(4) the admissions and amusement tax; and\n(5) the license tax.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=16-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"75ec4826f11652a801046c9c4ca220d8c9747b6543382544d164db5244f47cc4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-302","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-16-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
