Code, Local Government § 19–809","heading":"","body":"(a) A bond issued under this subtitle and the interest on the bond are\nlimited obligations of Cecil County.\n(b) Cecil County may pay the principal of and interest on a bond issued\nunder this subtitle only from:\n(1) revenues derived from interest, mortgage insurance proceeds,\ncasualty or special hazard insurance proceeds, other insurance proceeds, or\ncondemnation proceeds; or\n(2) other revenues derived from or related to loans made under a\nprogram.\n(c) Bonds and interest coupons issued under this subtitle:\n(1) are not debts or charges against the general credit or taxing\npowers of Cecil County within the meaning of any constitutional or county code\nprovision or statutory limitation; and\n(2) do not give rise to any pecuniary liability of the county.\n(d) On the advice of counsel, Cecil County may state on the face of a bond\nthat the bond:\n(1) is issued under this subtitle; and\n(2) is not an indebtedness to which the faith and credit of the county\nis pledged.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=19-809","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"aa31fb46468ceb4ad64d9f3a359ec311c75ae47b5666e9dbedc242ff241707f5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-19-808","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-19-810"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
