Code, Local Government § 20–121","heading":"","body":"(a) A person who negligently or without reasonable cause fails to provide\nany information as required under this title is guilty of a misdemeanor and on\nconviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $500.\n(b) (1) A person who willfully or with the intent to evade payment or\nprevent the collection of a tax under this title fails to provide information as required\nunder this title or provides false or misleading information is guilty of a misdemeanor\nand on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 18 months or a fine not\nexceeding $5,000 or both.\n(2) A prosecution under this subsection does not bar a prosecution for\nperjury.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=20-121","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"4df58d7144e91da16a55f3656ffff93c657da2b8e8a23e381e4e308cc68782d5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-118","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-122"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
