Code, Local Government § 20–306","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Each year the governing body of a county or the governing body’s\ndesignee shall notify officials of municipalities and officials of other counties receiving\ncoal tax revenues that the officials may request a meeting with the governing body or\ndesignee.\n(2) On request, the governing body of a county or the governing\nbody’s designee shall meet and confer annually with officials of municipalities and\nwith officials of any other county receiving coal tax revenues.\n(b) The governing body of a county may distribute up to 5 cents per ton of\nthe money derived from the tax to the municipalities for the reconstruction, repair,\nor maintenance of municipal coal haul roads and bridges.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=20-306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"8edb5487f6ee3291f1fb437e40922489122c13bb9db1d6583801aa938e550c10","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
