Code, Local Government § 20–422","heading":"","body":"Wicomico County shall distribute the hotel rental tax revenue as follows:\n(1) a reasonable sum for hotel rental tax administrative costs, not to\nexceed 5%, to the general fund of the county;\n(2) if the county authorizes a hotel rental tax rate of 6%:\n(i) 16.7% of the revenue to the Salisbury Zoological Park; and\n(ii) 16.7% of the revenue to the Wicomico County Youth and\nCivic Center to be used for its improvement and renovation; and\n(3) the remaining balance to the general fund of the county to\nunderwrite the Wicomico County Convention and Visitors Bureau.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=20-422","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"dadaab2d80c1656116b9576df755711eb69890f7bd7140be5b88656e1383072a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-421","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-423"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
