Code, Local Government § 20–424","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) On or before October 1 of each year, a Western Maryland code\ncounty shall prepare a report on the hotel rental tax.\n(2) The report shall be published in a newspaper of general\ncirculation in the county and posted on the county’s Internet Web site.\n(3) The report shall include:\n(i) the amount of revenue the county collected from the hotel\nrental tax in the previous fiscal year;\n(ii) an itemized statement of the use of hotel rental tax\nrevenue; and\n(iii) the name and salary of each position in the county unit that\nadministers the hotel rental tax.\n(b) A Western Maryland code county shall provide a copy of any audits that\nrelate to the hotel rental tax to the county Senate and House Delegations to the\nGeneral Assembly.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=20-424","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"5f40121c330840e5106a9f50ea053b5e190d4bafcdf949a8d58297f879b9344a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-423","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-20-425"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
