Code, Local Government § 21–207","heading":"","body":"(a) This section does not apply to Anne Arundel County.\n(b) (1) When the plans and specifications for the construction of a project\nin a district are complete, the district council shall notify each owner of real property\nin the district:\n(i) that the plans and specifications for the construction of the\nproject are complete and can be inspected at the office of the governing body of the\ncounty;\n(ii) of the probable cost of the project; and\n(iii) of the date and place of a hearing on the petition.\n(2) The notice shall be:\n(i) mailed to the last known address of each property owner in\nthe district; and\n(ii) published once each week for 2 successive weeks in a\nnewspaper of general circulation in the county.\n(c) After holding a hearing, the district council shall decide whether to\nproceed with the project.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"6f05cab3758acf398db95cdc1c4398639778446214f9afbdfa1165655251ddf3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-206","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
