Code, Local Government § 21–412","heading":"","body":"(a) By resolution, the governing body of a municipality:\n(1) may designate an area as a special taxing district; and\n(2) shall create a special fund with respect to the special taxing\ndistrict.\n(b) A resolution creating a special fund under subsection (a) of this section\nshall:\n(1) pledge to the special fund the proceeds of the ad valorem or\nspecial tax to be imposed as provided under § 21–414 of this subtitle; and\n(2) require that the proceeds from the tax be paid into the special\nfund.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-412","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"ce84e27d2052f0dea4706c62db6e28ae44b82de35f9b23914fc2e076dce44d0e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-411","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
