Code, Local Government § 21–415","heading":"","body":"(a) A special taxing district established under this part shall be terminated\nif:\n(1) no bonds authorized by this part are outstanding with respect to\nthe special taxing district;\n(2) no MEDCO obligations to which a municipality has pledged\nrevenues under this part are outstanding with respect to the special taxing district;\nand\n(3) the governing body of the municipality determines not to use\nmoney in the special fund for payment of costs of:\n(i) infrastructure improvements located in or supporting a\ntransit–oriented development or a State hospital redevelopment; or\n(ii) operating and maintaining infrastructure improvements\nlocated in or supporting a transit–oriented development or a State hospital\nredevelopment.\n(b) Any money remaining in the special fund on the date of termination of\nthe special taxing district may be paid to the general fund of the municipality.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-415","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"adc25f26297ae997fb74fb450dde3062fa4b902ce42bd66cc90a63d66dd8538e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-414","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-416"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
