Code, Local Government § 21–507","heading":"","body":"If no bonds authorized by this subtitle are outstanding with respect to a special\ntaxing district, the governing body of the county may use money in the special fund\nfor:\n(1) any purpose specified in this subtitle;\n(2) paying debt service on bonds to be issued later;\n(3) payment or reimbursement of debt service that the county is\nobligated under a general or limited obligation to pay, or has paid, on MEDCO\nobligations or any bond, note, or other similar instrument issued by the State, any\nunit or political subdivision of the State, or the Revenue Authority of Prince George’s\nCounty, the proceeds of which were used for any purpose specified in this subtitle; or\n(4) payment to the county to provide money for any legal purpose as\ndetermined by the governing body of the county.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-507","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"66bf6c6e5fa50ae68aaaa936d44c1c987db2e36fabb466a47ef0af70ad244d2b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-506","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
