Code, Local Government § 21–514","heading":"","body":"(a) Bonds are payable from the special fund required under § 21–506 of this\nsubtitle.\n(b) Bonds issued under this subtitle are a special obligation of the county\nand are not a general obligation debt of the county or a pledge of the county’s full\nfaith and credit or taxing power.\n(c) The governing body of a county that issues bonds under this subtitle\nmay:\n(1) establish a sinking fund;\n(2) establish a debt service reserve fund;\n(3) pledge other assets and revenues toward the payment of the\nprincipal of and interest on the bonds; or\n(4) provide for municipal bond insurance or any other financial\nguaranty of the bonds.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-514","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"31ce22120199b61de5e95d1b0287c6bee8b09f7bc690152833f0a1006874aafc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-513","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
