Code, Local Government § 21–519","heading":"","body":"A law enacted by Anne Arundel County under this subtitle:\n(1) shall specify the type of infrastructure and related costs that may\nbe financed;\n(2) shall require:\n(i) reasonable disclosure in a real estate contract to buyers of\nreal property in a special taxing district of any special assessment, special tax, or\nother fee or charge for which the buyer would be liable due to the special taxing\ndistrict; and\n(ii) that, if a seller fails to provide the disclosure, the buyer\nmay void the contract before the date of settlement;\n(3) shall require adequate debt service reserve funds to be\nmaintained;\n(4) may provide:\n(i) for exemptions, deferrals, and credits; and\n(ii) for a lien to attach to property in a special taxing district to\nthe extent of that property owner’s obligation under any special taxing district\nfinancing; and\n(5) may not allow:\n(i) acceleration of assessments or taxes by reason of bond\ndefault; or\n(ii) an increase in the maximum special assessments, special\ntaxes, or other fees or charges applicable to any individual property if other property\nowners become delinquent in paying a special assessment, a special tax, or any other\nfee or charge securing bonds issued under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-519","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"32113e7ce5ae860a1082267aad4c5d4a279729a5321b63fd6384374e130110d5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-516","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-520"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
