Code, Local Government § 21–607","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Prince George’s County may establish a stormwater management\ndistrict that includes the land in its boundaries, except for the land in the City of\nBowie.\n(2) In its stormwater management district, Prince George’s County\nshall provide efficient stormwater management services to the residents and property\nowners of the stormwater management district with adequate facilities for\ndevelopment and promotion of safety for life and property.\n(3) The stormwater management services shall include those\nformerly performed by the Commission.\n(4) Prince George’s County may not exercise stormwater\nmanagement authority in the City of Bowie unless the city and county otherwise\nagree.\n(b) (1) The stormwater management district is a special taxing district\nfor the purpose of stormwater management.\n(2) Prince George’s County may establish one or more special taxing\nareas in its stormwater management district.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-607","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"4b30e224d85c57ca94cf0b02ebeb3d7002aa136cfb856398f1b6f7cbbfc82cc5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-606","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-608"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
