Code, Local Government § 21–613","heading":"","body":"Bonds issued under this part:\n(1) are general obligation bonds of the issuing authority that are fully\nregistered as to both principal and interest when approved by ordinance or other\nlegislative act of the county or city;\n(2) shall bear interest payable at any time and at any annual rate as\nprovided or authorized by legislative act;\n(3) may not mature later than 40 years from the date of their issue;\n(4) may be made redeemable before maturity at the option of the\nissuing authority, at any price and under any terms and conditions that are set before\ntheir issuance;\n(5) shall have any other terms and provisions and be otherwise\nissued as provided or authorized by legislative act; and\n(6) shall be sold in any manner, either at a public or private\nnegotiated sale, and on any terms, at, above, or below par, as provided or authorized\nby legislative act.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-613","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"46dff71155b0fff274117a58a1c89e9613ee75f2ff41c671b7206276199d3564","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-612","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-614"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
