Code, Local Government § 21–618","heading":"","body":"(a) Bonds issued by Montgomery County or Prince George’s County to\nprovide money for stormwater management remain valid, binding, and enforceable\nin accordance with their terms, including any provision for a maturity date beyond\nJune 30, 1990.\n(b) Notwithstanding the repeal, expiration, or termination after the date of\nissuance of the bonds of the authority under which the bonds were issued, the rights\nof the bondholders and the responsibilities and obligations of Montgomery County or\nPrince George’s County with respect to the bonds may not be impaired and shall\nremain in full force and effect.\n(c) The responsibility of Montgomery County or Prince George’s County\nincludes the responsibility to repay the bonds and to impose taxes for or otherwise\nguarantee the payment of the bonds.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-618","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"2c5ddcda97a274b17e8b954949fb243cfb03b7d110c58e87f1a024d937a8f966","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-617","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-621"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
