Code, Local Government § 21–633","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, the county where the\nproject is located shall maintain every stormwater management system and part of\nevery system that:\n(1) was constructed by the Commission or the county or accepted for\nmaintenance by the Commission or the county; and\n(2) is located in a street, an alley, a public way, or a public space.\n(b) Unless the county agrees otherwise:\n(1) a stormwater management system that is located on real property\nowned by the Maryland–National Capital Park and Planning Commission shall be\nmaintained by the Maryland–National Capital Park and Planning Commission; and\n(2) a stormwater management system or facility that is located in a\nroad maintained by the State Highway Administration shall be maintained by the\nState.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-633","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"fbda0d7c5114dfae5695091d4c61e8bbf807971d3bc04a1eb9af0c113808478e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-632","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-634"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
