Code, Local Government § 21–644","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) This subsection does not apply to § 21–624 of this subtitle.\n(2) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, a person who\nviolates the provisions of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is\nsubject to imprisonment not exceeding 30 days or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(b) A person who violates § 21–633, § 21–634, or § 21–637 of this subtitle is\nguilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding\n30 days or a fine not exceeding $500 or both.\n(c) A person may be convicted of a second or subsequent violation of a\nprovision of this subtitle or a regulation adopted under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=21-644","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"2f59169d24f5b184fac3e131f23e2144e482eb45ed47f240643ab6576450a655","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-641","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-21-701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
