Code, Local Government § 22–105","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as limited by the local law establishing the Resilience Authority\nor its articles of incorporation, a Resilience Authority has all the powers under this\ntitle.\n(b) A Resilience Authority has and may exercise all powers necessary or\nconvenient to undertake, finance, manage, acquire, own, convey, or support resilience\ninfrastructure projects, including the power to:\n(1) acquire by purchase, lease, or other legal means, but not by\neminent domain, property for resilience infrastructure;\n(2) establish, construct, alter, improve, equip, repair, maintain,\noperate, and regulate resilience infrastructure owned by the incorporating local\ngovernment or the Resilience Authority;\n(3) receive money from its incorporating local government, the State,\nother governmental units, or private organizations;\n(4) charge and collect fees for its services;\n(5) subject to the approval of the local governing body, charge and\ncollect fees to back its bond issuances;\n(6) have employees and consultants as it considers necessary;\n(7) use the services of other governmental units; and\n(8) act as necessary or convenient to carry out the powers granted to\nit by law.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=22-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"8b34dca98b7c7d5bf9379590980a148e1d3bd9314d7d639aaab0829db0d72e0c","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-22-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-22-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
