Code, Local Government § 24–106","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, the State shall provide financial\nsupport to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments operating under\nthis title to assist the Council in carrying out its activities on the basis of 50% of the\nper capita contributions of the Maryland members of the Council.\n(b) The State contribution may not exceed an amount equal to the sum of\n$3,200 for each 50,000 residents in the Maryland counties and municipalities\nparticipating in the Council.\n(c) The Governor shall include the funding required in this section in the\nannual State budget.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=24-106","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"0927c36097009196a02f7ef4d1a94bb0edeb039ef1fa3fbe77ab7a69f6f86fbd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-24-105","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
