Code, Local Government § 25–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Board of directors” means the board of directors of a watershed\nassociation.\n(c) “Board of viewers” means a board of watershed viewers established\nunder this title.\n(d) “Designated officer” means:\n(1) the clerk of the county commissioners for a code county or\ncommission county if there is a clerk for the county; or\n(2) an employee or official of the county who is designated by the\nlegislative body to perform the responsibilities of the designated officer under this\ntitle.\n(e) “Landowner” means a person who owns, or has contracted to purchase,\nland that would be affected by a watershed project being considered by a watershed\nassociation or proposed watershed association.\n(f) “Watershed association” means a public watershed association\nestablished under this title.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"00fc61f74fbd3f6f091e163ec19545459616bbd2d53ef9dbe503f0dd8371b6ae","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-24-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
