Code, Local Government § 25–103","heading":"","body":"(a) On a petition filed under § 25–201 of this title, the county\ncommissioners, county council, or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City may\nestablish a watershed association.\n(b) A watershed association may:\n(1) construct, operate, and maintain a watershed project for:\n(i) watershed protection;\n(ii) flood prevention;\n(iii) recreation;\n(iv) soil conservation;\n(v) drainage;\n(vi) the conservation, development, storage, use, and disposal\nof water for any beneficial purpose in watershed and subwatershed areas; or\n(vii) the protection of areas subject to sediment or erosion\ndamage; and\n(2) cooperate with local, State, and federal units of government.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-103","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"c2aa329df92cedf2bc4e33b641a3e9ce258a090a5c2a5b39e33710887056fc19","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-102","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
