Code, Local Government § 25–302","heading":"","body":"(a) Within 30 days after the approval of the petition and report, the county\ncommissioners, county council, or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City shall call\na meeting of the landowners to:\n(1) elect a board of directors; and\n(2) determine the compensation for the board of directors.\n(b) (1) At least 10 days before the meeting, the county commissioners,\ncounty council, or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City shall post a notice of the\nmeeting at four public places in the area or vicinity of the area affected by the\nwatershed association.\n(2) The notice shall state the time, place, and purpose of the meeting.\n(c) Each landowner is entitled to one vote in the election of the board of\ndirectors.\n(d) The board of directors elected under subsection (a) of this section shall\ndetermine by a random drawing the directors who:\n(1) serve until the date of the first regular annual meeting;\n(2) serve until the date of the first regular annual meeting and for 1\nyear thereafter; or\n(3) serve until the date of the first regular annual meeting and for 2\nyears thereafter.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"810df133ce474e7269d29f0b0783ed3e877e6ff9ca25ecfcdd60bde869b80eaa","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
