Code, Local Government § 25–401","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The board of directors of the watershed association shall develop\na work plan for the watershed or subwatershed area.\n(2) The watershed work plan may include:\n(i) watershed protection;\n(ii) flood prevention;\n(iii) recreation;\n(iv) soil conservation;\n(v) drainage; and\n(vi) the conservation, development, storage, use, and disposal\nof water for any beneficial purpose.\n(b) In developing the watershed work plan, the board of directors:\n(1) shall engage the services of private engineers; or\n(2) may use the services of planners and engineers of local, State, and\nfederal units of government.\n(c) A member or an agent of the board of directors:\n(1) may enter the land to make surveys and examinations for\ndeveloping a watershed work plan; and\n(2) is liable for actual damage done to any land entered during a\nsurvey or examination.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"b350a4ae76b991985ce0343d8c5aca94f31a0d479673435210a69eb33d0dea2e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-310","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
