Code, Local Government § 25–506","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The county commissioners, county council, or Mayor and City\nCouncil of Baltimore City shall examine a report submitted by a board of viewers\nunder § 25–505 of this subtitle at the first meeting after receiving the report.\n(2) If the county commissioners, county council, or Mayor and City\nCouncil of Baltimore City find that the report is not in proper form or not in\ncompliance with the law, the report shall be returned to the board of viewers to be\ncorrected and resubmitted.\n(3) If the county commissioners, county council, or Mayor and City\nCouncil of Baltimore City find that the report is in proper form and in compliance\nwith the law, the county commissioners, county council, or Mayor and City Council of\nBaltimore City shall set a date for a public hearing on the report.\n(b) (1) At least 30 days before a hearing under this section, the county\ncommissioners, county council, or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City shall:\n(i) publish notice of the time and place of the hearing in a\nnewspaper of general circulation in each county in which the land to be affected by\nthe watershed association is located;\n(ii) mail a notice to each person named in the report; and\n(iii) if a landowner or an owner of other property named in the\nreport resides outside the State, serve written notice of the hearing on the tenant or\nagent of the landowner or owner of the other property.\n(2) Notice of the hearing shall state that a copy of the report is\navailable for inspection in an office of the designated officer.\n(c) A copy of the board of viewers report shall be available for inspection in\nthe office of the designated officer.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-506","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"aa00942215c3153792492429d46b590f76afeb6811f49c3ee4db2af1d77bb75e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-505","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
