Code, Local Government § 25–805","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The board of directors shall impose an annual special assessment\non the benefited land to provide a fund to maintain, repair, and operate a watershed\nproject constructed under this title.\n(2) The amount of the annual special assessment shall be equal to\nthe estimated cost to operate and maintain the watershed project as determined by\nan annual inspection to be made at a time set by the board of directors, less any\namount that may be received from any other source.\n(b) If the funds received under subsection (a) of this section are inadequate\nto provide for the necessary maintenance, repair, or operation, a supplemental\nassessment may be imposed on the benefited land.\n(c) The assessments under this section shall be imposed and disbursed in\nthe same manner as provided for the special assessments under § 25–803 of this\nsubtitle.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-805","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"7ff2958f1e5c38d77b4afb9dde75cbc402e97a92645a9ac6760a5eea7cd06ad3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-804","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-806"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
