Code, Local Government § 25–808","heading":"","body":"(a) From the money that first becomes available under this title to the board\nof directors, the board of directors shall pay:\n(1) the compensation and expenses of the board of viewers and the\nengineers;\n(2) any damages awarded;\n(3) any compensation awarded for existing watershed projects; and\n(4) the expenses incident to the organization of the watershed\nassociation.\n(b) (1) On request by the board of directors, the county commissioners,\ncounty council, or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City may advance funds to\npay the costs in subsection (a) of this section.\n(2) An advance under paragraph (1) of this subsection shall be repaid\nfrom the money first received from special assessments imposed on the landowners\nfor the watershed project.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=25-808","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"a78feffe5239078d825313f70de973980f423291e67a5d9dd5a449c0f58dc4a9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-807","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-809"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
