Code, Local Government § 26–101","heading":"","body":"(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Board of managers” means the board of managers of a drainage\nassociation.\n(c) “Board of viewers” means the board of drainage viewers established\nunder this title.\n(d) “Designated officer” means:\n(1) the clerk of the county commissioners for a code county or\ncommission county if there is a clerk for the county; or\n(2) an employee or official of the county who is designated by the\ncounty commissioner or county council to perform the responsibilities of the\ndesignated officer under this title.\n(e) “Drainage association” means a public drainage association established\nunder this title.\n(f) “Landowner” means a person who owns, or has contracted to purchase,\nland that is to be affected by a drainage project being considered by a drainage\nassociation or proposed drainage association.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=26-101","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"11cfe7f9f2a4b70220ff0926b67d01a1674c17b16a60943aac467cc19e04b872","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-25-1102","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-26-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
