Code, Local Government § 26–805","heading":"","body":"(a) The special assessments imposed under this subtitle shall remain in the\ncounty treasury until disbursed by the county tax collector on orders signed by the\nboard of managers.\n(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, the county\ntax collector shall be entitled to retain 3% of the drainage special assessments\ncollected under this subtitle as compensation.\n(2) In Caroline County, the county tax collector shall deposit all fees\ncollected into the general fund of Caroline County.\n(c) For each drainage association in the county, the county tax collector\nshall keep a separate record that shows all income and expenses.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=26-805","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"fdea61c1d999d7b5df591d56ca56ed274f0e2d4811aa2a02b61e22fd9bb8ee4d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-26-804","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-26-806"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
