Code, Local Government § 27–305","heading":"","body":"(a) The board of viewers shall assess the damages claimed by any person\nthat is entitled to damages for land taken or for inconvenience caused by the\nconstruction of the improvement and the establishment of the drainage district or for\nany other legal damages sustained.\n(b) The damages assessed under this section shall be:\n(1) considered apart from any benefit the land would receive because\nof the proposed improvement; and\n(2) paid by the board of drainage commissioners when funds are\navailable as provided in § 27–502 of this title.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=27-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"c715efc07e7a8b3d2f72676cb722f9371639fe7bceadfbaff28dca913c3299e6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-27-304","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-27-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
