Code, Local Government § 27–603","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The engineers who are appointed to the board of viewers shall\nreceive compensation per diem, as agreed on by the county commissioners or county\ncouncil.\n(2) The individuals, other than the engineers, who are appointed to\nthe board of viewers shall receive $3 per day.\n(3) The rodmen, axmen, chainmen, and other laborers employed by a\ndrainage district shall receive compensation not to exceed $2 per day each.\n(b) The board of drainage commissioners may not receive a per diem but\nshall be reimbursed for expenses incurred when engaged in the work of the drainage\ndistrict.\n(c) All other fees and costs incurred under this title are the same as\nprovided by law for similar services.","path":["Article - Local Government"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glg\u0026section=27-603","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:58Z","sha256":"71971ab790d5af15f00df6cca5d0d6ff8f5f2b9fa96d9e6594f2f41fc1a748d4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-27-602","next":"us-md/md.-code-local-government-27-701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
